Breakfast

I'm not sure what the protocol is on the class blog seeing as how we aren't the PA3 class anymore. But I don't see the harm in continuing. I'm under the impression that no one has posted anything since Spring quarter ended anyway because everyone is vegetating. In my head I picture it as everyone sort of melting and sizzling away in a chair because they don't have to move anymore. I sure hope it's not that though.
So, I thought I'd just drop in and leave you with part of the breakfast I made last weekend. My sister and her friend stayed at my place, so I had to cook extra.

a photograph-er

This is the work of bay area photographer Paccarik Orue. He's a student at my old school in San Francisco, Academy of Art University. I particularly enjoy his portrait series "where you remain fixed". I think his style is a lot of what I aspire to personally. Check him out! He has some really beautiful work.

Judeman

Hellooo.

Say hi to Jude.

He's my roommate. He moved into my apartment shortly after I did. For a while, we got along, but lately our lives have just been taking us different directions. He's the affectionate, needy type. I'm not really into cuddling, so we fight about that a lot. And he doesn't like it when I stay out late. I get this long lecture everytime I come home after dark. We aren't really happy with each other, so he's looking for a new place.

Would anyone like to take this guy in and love him up? I just don't really have the time and patience for a cuddly guy like him. I think he wants a friend(cat), but I don't have the space for another Jude. So, if you could help him (and me) out by taking him in, or letting your friends know he's looking for a home, please drop me a line or comment. We'd really appreciate it.

His hobbies are stealing straws out of your drink (this is like... a necessity), hanging out in the bathtub, chasing bugs, people watching, and catapulting off furniture.

Also, his favorite show is The Golden Girls and he likes to watch people play Paper Mario.

A Lovely Day in the Rochacha

Yesterday this festive group went out to Mt. Hope to do some shooting. It got me thinking about photography compared to other arts I enjoy. Comparatively, photography is the only art I enjoy working on in a group. Drawing, painting, sculpting, anything other than photography, I can't work with my peers analyzing and looking over my shoulder. After I create a piece, I am always looking for critique, but photo is the only time I relish company during the process. With photo, a group is an efficient machine. Everybody notices something different about lighting, props, models, and when you're in a group of talented people (like this one!), your work only profits from their input.
Thanks to everyone in our class this quarter, and quarters past, for being open to collaboration and helping me to grow as an artist.

with affection,
Chloe

These are the latest images i've taken for my final. Any thoughts?

Like bierce, poof.

Final Hine-esque

Latest Final Image. I feel like anything i could possibly think to say right now would be like fluffy clouds, mostly insubstantial and pointless (ex. the sentence about fluffy clouds). Goodnight PA3.

collabs- future social networking art

http://ic-collabs.deviantart.com/

people post simple color patterns / designs and then everyone in an image thread takes time to manipulate / draw and scan / illustrator / optimize it over the course of the thread (it could go from 20 minutes to an hourish)

i've attached an example of a starting picture

pretty interesting

more final images

Which one
of these
do you
like?

I will be starting work prints of these tonight. I am leaning toward the second one of the girl, but I love the chalkboard & setup of the first image. And I like the richness of the wood in the last image. Thoughts?
